“You’re smart. You get what we’re trying to do here. Make an example for the younger guys. Be a leader. Adapt or die.”

That line hit me hard when I recently rewatched Moneyball.

It’s not just about baseball. It’s about how leaders, in any industry, respond to change.

Billy Beane didn’t have the biggest budget. He didn’t have the most popular ideas. But he had the clarity to see inefficiency and the courage to act on it. He didn’t chase the same outcome the same way as everyone else. He redefined the way to get there.

That mindset, questioning default thinking, finding leverage in overlooked places, is at the heart of every coaching session I lead.

Don’t just look at the next job, promotion, or metric. Look at the system you’re operating in.

Challenge the story.

Look for your stats.

If you’re ready to challenge your instincts and start building a smarter game plan — I’d love to work with you.
